To determine these parameters, in addition to factors such as the size of the ball mill, the internal structure of the ball mill, and the product fineness requirements, the characteristics of the grinding material (easy to grind, particle size, etc.) must also be considered.
In order to effectively crush the material, several principles must be followed when determining the gradation:
First of all, the steel ball must have enough impact force so that the steel ball of the ball mill has enough energy to crush the particulate material, which is directly related to the maximum ball diameter of the steel ball.
Secondly, the steel ball must have enough impact times on the material, which is related to the filling rate of the steel ball and the average ball diameter. When the filling amount is constant, under the premise of ensuring sufficient impact force, reduce the diameter of the grinding body as much as possible, increase the number of steel balls to increase the number of impacts on the material, and improve the crushing efficiency.
Finally, the material has enough residence time in the mill to ensure that the material is fully crushed, which requires the steel ball to be equipped with a certain ability to control the flow rate of the material.
The so-called two-stage ball grading method is to use two different sizes of steel balls with a large difference in diameter for grading. The theoretical basis is that the gaps between the large balls are filled by small balls to fully increase the packing density of the steel balls. When the filling rate of steel balls is 45%, the load of the ball mill is the maximum, and when the filling rate exceeds 45%, the load is greatly reduced with the increase of the filling rate. This is mainly because as the filling rate increases, the starting point of the steel ball is raised, and the impact point of the falling steel ball accelerates to approach and exceed the center of rotation, and the resultant moment is greatly shortened and becomes 0 to a negative value. (3) Change the shape of the grinding medium

The ball mill should be installed on a solid concrete foundation. For the basic design and construction of the ball mill, please refer to the ball mill assembly drawing and foundation drawing. In order to ensure that the position accuracy of each component of the ball mill does not change greatly during use, the foundation of the ball mill should adopt a monolithic structure.
The ball mill can be installed on the concrete foundation after the compressive strength reaches more than 75%. Prior to installation, the quality of the foundation should be inspected. It is required that the concrete has no defects that affect the strength, the number and location of the reserved holes meet the requirements, and there is no debris, water, and oil in the reserved holes. When the "ground wire method" is used for installation operations, the "center target plate" should be pre-embedded on the surface of the foundation. Before installation, draw all centerlines on the foundation and make eye-catching punch marks on the "center target board" as the centerline reference during installation.
Before hoisting, the ball mill should be fully inspected and accepted in different parts, and problems should be dealt with in time.

1. All lubricating oil should be discharged when the mill is put into continuous operation for one month, thoroughly cleaned, and replaced with new oil. In the future, the oil will be changed approximately every 6 months in conjunction with the middle repair.
2. The lubrication condition and oil level of each lubrication point are checked at least every 4 hours.
3. When the mill is running, the temperature rise of the main bearing lubricating oil should not exceed 55°C.
4. When the mill is running normally, the temperature rise of the transmission bearing and the reducer should not exceed 55ºC, and the maximum should not exceed 60ºC.
5. The large and small gears drive smoothly without abnormal noise. If necessary, adjust the gap in time.
6. The ball mill runs smoothly without strong vibration.
7. There should be no abnormal fluctuations in the motor current.
8. There is no loosening of the connecting fasteners, no oil leakage, five tax water leakage, and no ore leakage on the joint surface.
9. The steel balls are added in time according to the wear condition.
10. If an abnormal situation is found, the grinding should be stopped immediately for maintenance.
11. The mill liner should be replaced when it is 70% worn or has 70mm long cracks.
12. When the liner bolts are damaged and the liner becomes loose, replace it.
13. The main bearing should be replaced when it is severely worn.
14. The grate plate of the grid ball mill should be replaced when it is worn out and can no longer be welded.
15. After the gear surface of the big gear is worn to a certain degree, it can be turned over and used again.
16. The pinion gear is severely worn and should be replaced.
17. When the incoming and outgoing spiral is worn out, it should be repaired by welding in time, and replaced when it is worn out.
18. Loose or damaged foundation bolts should be repaired in time.

Troubleshooting
1. When the ball mill is running, there is a regular beating sound, and the sound is loud. Part of the liner bolts are not tightened. When the ball mill rotates, the liner hits the barrel of the ball mill. Judge the position of the liner of the ball mill according to the sound, find out the loose bolts, and tighten them separately.
2. The temperature of the bearings of the ball mill and the motor has risen, exceeding the regulations. Try to check whether the temperature of the bearing is too high in part or all of it by hand. Check and deal with the ball mill from the following points.
(1) Whether the lubrication point and the grade of lubricating oil used are consistent with the manufacturer's manual of the equipment.
(2) Deterioration.
(3) It is blocked, or the lubricating oil does not directly enter the lubrication point, and the insufficient amount of oil causes heat.
(4) 1/3 to 1/2 of the gap is more appropriate.
The above problems should be dealt with according to their reasons, except that the side clearance of the bearing bush is too small, or the bottom contact angle is too large. The grinding cylinder must be jacked up with a hydraulic jack, and the bearing bush must be pulled out from one side of the shaft and scraped separately. Research tile mouth.
3. Heating of ball mill reducer bearing:
In addition to checking the bearing temperature rise of the ball mill, check whether the vent hole of the reducer is blocked, and unblock the vent hole.
